£50 Pass Guarantee

Complete all 20 mock tests in the app and get 360 of their 480 questions right. If you then do not pass the Life in the UK test, we pay you £50.

Who can claim

You can claim if all of these are true:

1. You used the Life in UK Made Easy app on iPhone.
2. You completed all 20 mock tests in the app before the day of your Life in the UK test.
3. You had at least 360 of the 480 mock test questions right (20 mocks of 24 questions). Your latest answer to each question counts, so a question you got wrong in a mock and later answered right when you revised counts as right. The app's Guarantee tab shows your number.
4. You took the Life in the UK test, and you did not pass.
5. You claim within 28 days of your test date.
6. You have not claimed this guarantee before. Each person can claim once.

360 is 75% of the 480 questions, the pass threshold the app uses for this guarantee. If we change it, the app and this page show the new figure, and a test you took before the change is covered by the figure on the day of your test.

What we pay

We pay a flat £50, whatever you paid for your test booking. We pay by bank transfer to an account in your name, within 7 days of approving your claim.

How to claim

Within 28 days of your test, open the app and go to the Guarantee tab. Tap "Claim your £50" and give:

1. your name and email address;
2. the date of your test;
3. a copy of your test result (a photo or a PDF), which shows that you did not pass.

Your mock test answers are already saved with your account, so you do not need to send screenshots. We check your claim and reply by email within 7 days. If your claim is approved, we ask for your bank details by email and the £50 is credited to your bank account within 7 days. The Guarantee tab shows when your claim is paid.

Sharing your results with us

To claim, you have to share your test result, your name and your email address with us. We need them to check that you took the test and did not pass, and to reply to you. Your result may show your name, date of birth and test centre. If you prefer, you can cover anything we do not need, but your name, the test date and the result must stay visible.

We use these details only to check and pay your claim. We never share them with anyone else, and we never add them to your study data in the app. We delete your result, your email address and your bank details within 90 days after we close your claim. We keep a short record of the payment (your name, the amount and the date) for 6 years, because UK tax law requires it. More detail is in our privacy policy.

Other terms

• We may ask for more information to check a claim. We refuse claims that use false or edited documents.
• This guarantee covers the Life in the UK test only. It does not cover travel, time off work or other costs.
• If we change or end this guarantee, we will update this page first. A test you took before the change is covered by the terms on this page on the day of your test.
• This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights. It does not affect them.
